WHEN TO VISIT
Mvubu Falls Lodge is a wonderful retreat all year round. Here is what to expect in each season to help you choose the perfect time for your stay.
Dry season (May to September)
The cooler, dry winter months bring clear blue skies, comfortable daytime temperatures and the best conditions for walking, wildlife viewing and exploring the falls. Mornings and evenings can be chilly, so bring a warm layer. This is a popular time, so we recommend booking early.
Wet season (October to April)
Summer brings warm days, lush green landscapes and fuller waterfalls, with occasional afternoon thunderstorms. It is a wonderful time for birdwatching and photography, and rates are often better. Pack a light rain jacket and insect repellent.
Festivals and events
Eswatini hosts colourful cultural celebrations, including the Umhlanga Reed Dance in late August or September and the Incwala ceremony around December or January. Our team can advise on dates and help you plan your stay around them.
Our recommendation
Every season has its charm. For hiking and wildlife, choose May to September; for lush scenery and good value, choose November to March. Contact us and we will gladly help you pick the best dates for your stay.
